This morning while praying the lord showed me something that I never could have imagined was real, Prostitution. I thought I knew what it was, but I had the urge to go and look up the word and the definition. there were two meaning; The practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment or the unworthy and corrupt use of one’s talents for the sake of personal or financial gain. This is the perspective that I got, be careful who we judge, those people maybe dressed on the side of the road waiting to be picked up, or they have a place assigned for them to meet, but those are not the only prostitute. When a single woman who has been on a constant struggle to make ends meet and decided that the only option they have is to find a man who can provide for theirs need, whether it is groceries, paying the bills, buying you clothes, whatever you need, but the only thing you can give in exchange for all of that is your body, this is considered prostitution, as long as that exchange is being done, 1 Corinthians 3:16 states ” Do you know that your bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own. let us learn to honor God with our bodies, as he promised that he will provide all our needs, Philippians 4:19 not some, but all. He wants us to be dependent on him, not in our own way, but according to his will. God is calling us to humble ourselves, pray to him, and seek his face and turn from our wicked ways and then he will hear from heaven and heal our land, 2 Chronicles 7:14, God is calling us to repentance, do not wait until it’s too late the time is now.
